Welcome to The Savvy Bride! Thanks to the influence of two very successful stay-at-home mommies, my sister, Marilou Pennington (mother of 4) and long-time family friend, Rory Egger (mother of 6!), I followed in their footsteps and became my own boss! They both have run their own invitation businesses while staying at home with their children. I had the same desire, along with the support of my family, to take a break from the corporate world and "stay-at-home" to take care of my little girl, Lexi. So I started The Savvy Bride.

I initially started by introducing Rory’s Invitations/expressions by julia (www.divineink.biz) to the Bay Area with my own branch. I provided my customers with a great selection of invitations for all occasions (weddings, parties, anniversaries and more), business cards, and stationery at a fraction of the retail price. I then took my at-home invitations business to another level and offered even more savings catered for the bride-to-be. I became an Authorized Dealer for Discount Bridal Service, Inc. and served as a personal buying service offering discounts, not only for invitations, but also for wedding attire! Once my bride had made a choice of her gown or her bridesmaids’ gowns, I took care of the rest and left her with a savings of 20-30% off the retail prices. I no longer offer gowns through my site, but can still offer savings for invitations, accessories, favors and gown preservation.

It's been a little over four years and now we're back in Southern California, close to family and friends and living in the best weather around! What I have learned from Marilou and Rory is that they have always provided their customers with special care and savings, and you can expect the same from me. Thanks to you and your referrals, I have been able to keep my business going and love what I do!
